The Digital Resilience Institute is a member of the Plan4All association which participates in SPARROW, a project aimed at improving cities' response to emergencies during cyber-physical breakdowns.

Today, SPARROW published a short video where a member of the DRI team explains what Plan4All does and its role in the project.

What is Plan4All?

A non-profit association based in the Czech Republic. Plan4All’s main goal has been to ensure that results of research and innovation projects remain sustainable in the long run, an objective it has achieved by

  • Curating open datasets

  • Improving their interoperability

  • Making results available for experimentation through hackathons and similar activities

How will Plan4All support SPARROW?

Plan4All will support the project in three ways:

  1. By developing a platform where datasets will be aggregated and shared with the different SPARROW apps and services

  2. By providing training on how to use these tools to improve emergency response to cyber-physical breakdowns

  3. By facilitating co-creation and testing of SPARROW results through hackathons

Why is SPARROW important today?

Plan4All is excited to be part of SPARROW because we believe that SPARROW solutions will help cities minimize damage from and improve overall coordination during emergencies, whether caused by flooding, fires, or blackouts.
